Cup Anemometer with / without built-in heater with square wave output. Carlo Gavazzi

Wind speed is extremely important parameter for wind turbine, photovoltaic plants, buildings, cranes, weather stations, greenhouses etc. The anemometer sensor is designed with a special dust and humidity seal, which makes the sensor impervious to all weather conditions. The output (PNP and NPN) is switched proportionally to the air speed at a rate of 10 impulses per m/s. A built-in self-regulating heater (depending on model), reducing the risk of ice.

    DETAILED DESCRIPTION

DWS-V-DBC05 : Anemometer with a specially designed protection mechanism, which protects the bearings and the electronic parts against dirt and humidity.

    Measuring range: 2 to 30 m/s
Supply voltage: 10 to 28 VDC
Ambient humidity: 0 to 100% RH
    Operating temperature: 0 to 60°C

DWS-V-DAC13 : Same characteristics as the above anemometer plus a built-in self-regulated heater reduces the risk of glazing. The heater is supplied separately, which makes it possible to control the heating.

    Measuring range: 2 to 30 m/s
Supply voltage: 10 to 28 VDC
Supply voltage for heating system: 12 to 24 V AC/DC (in separate wires)
Ambient humidity: 0 to 100% RH
    Operating temperature: -20 to 60°C

For standalone use of anemometers (fountains, greenhouses, sunshades, etc.) you can use the UDM controller.
The Carlo Gavazzi anemometers are pulsed output and you can have 2 digital outputs or an analog output by adding a UDM controller.

    For digital outputs you need:
    -Anemometer
    -BD35 (UDM35 main unit)
    -BPH (Power supply 90 to 260V AC/DC)
-BQTF1 (Pulse signals input: 0.001Hz to 50kHz for DC signals)
    -BOR2 (2 Relay output)

    For analog output you need:
    -Anemometer
    -BD35 (UDM35 main unit)
    -BPH (Power supply 90 to 260V AC/DC)
-BQTF1 (Pulse signals input: 0.001Hz to 50kHz for DC signals)
-BO AV (Analogue output 0 to 20mA, 0 to 10VDC)

or you can choose the DWS-V-AGP anemometer which has analog output 4-20 mA
