IO-Link inductive sensors

It is a simple game now the ‘’inductive sensor feeling’’ with the new IO-Link inductive sensors. You can change all the features of a sensor in a matter of seconds. Changing the output type, changing the output state, adding or removing time functions, counter mode, rotation frequency monitoring and temperature monitoring are some of the features of the new IO-Link inductive sensors that you can modify and monitoring. All of this, whenever you want and as many times you want!

IO-Link inductive sensors

    DETAILED DESCRIPTION

    IO-Link inductive sensors

Carlo Gavazzi new generation inductive sensors is the IO-Link inductive sensors with bodies from M4 to M30. This new series of inductive sensors is fully configurable via IO-Link v1.1:
    - Configurable output: NO, NC, PNP, NPN, push-pull
    - Adjustable switching distance: 6 33%, 50%, 75% and 100% of the maximum Sn of the maximum sensing distance (depending on the model)
    - Adjustable hysteresis: standard and extended
    - Single point, two-points or window mode
    - Timer functions: Turn On delay and Turn Off delay, Turn On and Off delays
    - Temperature alarms (over / under)
    - Overspeed or underspeed detection in window mode it is possible to check the conditions of a cycling mechanism.
    - The divider function allows the user to set how many activations are needed to change the output.
By setting this value equal to the number of teeth of a gear, the inductive sensor becomes an RPM counter.

Data collection is integral to Industry 4.0 and for sensors and actuators, IO-Link is the ideal method to obtain status and diagnostic information from proximity sensors. IO-Link is a universal, open communication standard protocol that allows IO-Link-enabled devices to exchange, collect and analyse data and convert it into actionable information. IO-Link is recognised worldwide as an international standard (IEC 61131-9), and it is today considered as the “USB interface” for sensors and actuators in the industrial automation environment.
When the IO-Link sensor is connected to an IO-Link port, the IO-Link master sends a wake-up request to the sensor, which automatically switches to IO-Link mode, and a point-to-point bidirectional communication automatically starts between the master and the sensor.
All IO-Link enabled sensors (both Carlo Gavazzi and non-Carlo Gavazzi) can be configured via our SCTL55 hand-held programmer. With the SCTL55 you can configure all of the sensor's parameters without the need for a PC. Furthermore, you can download the IODD files through its built-in Wi-Fi.

    SCTL55

The SCTL55 is the Industry 4.0 portable, self-powered and user-friendly smart configurator for IO-Link sensors, which accesses the sensor data and manages its parameters.
With the SCTL55 smart configurator you can modify and optimize your sensor very quickly and use available data to improve your processes and predictive maintenance.
Through a 5.5” HD touchscreen display and dedicated Apps you can access advanced diagnostics, showing operating hours, number of detections, operating cycles and alarms.

Note: In the DOCUMENTS AND SPECIFICATIONS section, you will find the ‘’Διαδραστική εκμάθηση-Tutorial’’ compressed file. Download and unzip it to experiment (in English language) with the settings and functions of new IO-Link inductive sensors as if you had a real sensor in your hands
